Donnie Claire Young of Brooks, WV passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the age of 87.

Born in Indore, WV on June 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Emma Smith DeBoard.

Donnie worked as a Home Health Nurse before retiring.  She was a member of the Seventh- Day Adventists.  Donnie was a warm and gentle soul who cared for and loved everyone she knew.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Leonard Young; three sons, Timothy, Kirby, and Michael Young; seven brothers, Samuel, Damon, Claude "Jake", Raymond, Benjamin Ray, Denzil, and Donald DeBoard; five sisters, Elsie Williams, Lucie Jane Holcomb, Emma Holcomb, Susie Gallegos, and Shirley Moore.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her son, Ronald Young of Brooks, WV; daughter, Angela Greer (Bob) of Brooks, WV; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the DeBoard Family Cemetery in Clay County WV.
