Doris Dean Ward, 75 of Judson, died Friday January 3, 2020 at Greenbrier Healthcare Center in Fairlea following a long battle with lung cancer.

Born July 9, 1944 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late James Nyal and Dicie Madeline Adkins Boone.

Doris was a healthcare aid and was a member of Elk Knob Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by her entire family.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Neal Coleman and four brothers, Delano, James, Kerwin and Steve Boone.

Survivors include a son, Phil Coleman and wife Marie of Talcott; a daughter, Dianne LeRoy of Maxwelton, WV; three brothers, Lynwall Boone of Disputanta, VA, Milan Boone of McConnelsville, OH and Milton Boone of Beckley, WV; one sister, Dalana Grimmett of Wayside, WV; nine grandchildren, Scott, Lewis, Chris, Jim, Angel and Philip Coleman, Rachel Ward, Kara LeRoy and Dicie Coleman; She also lovingly counted Tabitha Bragg and Jessica Liming as grandchildren and their children as great grandchildren; nine great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 8, 2020 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Andy Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in Tempa Baptist Church Cemetery, Tempa, WV. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
