Dorothy Ann Westmoreland, of Hinton, passed away on October 22, 2022, at the age of 103, at the Main Street Care, Hinton, West Virginia.

She was born June 3, 1919, at Sandstone, and was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Clara Honaker Tallman.

She graduated from Hinton High School, and was a faithful member of the Central Baptist Church, and a former Sunday School teacher, and sang in the church choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family.  She was also a member for many years Summers County Hospital Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer "Blub" Westmoreland, and a daughter, Jane Gibbons, a grandson Bill Gibbons, two brothers, Fred Tallman, and Tom Tallman, two sisters Marie Maddy and Ruby "Tid" Garten, two great grandchildren, Abbey Gibbons, and Blake.

Those left to cherish her memory are son-in-law Stewart Gibbons of Tampa, Florida, four grandchildren, Terri Gibbons of Austin, Texas, Mike Gibbons and wife Earlene of Selma, North Carolina, Traci Webb, of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Tim Gibbons and wife Cheryl, of Las Vegas, Nevada, fourteen great grandchildren, and one sister Ruth Noel, of Hinton.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services will be held at the Pivont Funeral Chapel, on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Robbie Merritt.  Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday.  Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ron Lilly, Joe Gibbons, Jim Noel, Tim Gibbons, Mike Gibbons, and Stewart Gibbons.
