Dorothy Mae Williams, 91 of Columbus, OH formerly of Hinton died Wednesday July 13, 2016 at her home following a long illness.

Born August 3, 1924 in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ella Hughes Davis.

Mrs. Williams was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and cooking. She also enjoyed Gospel singing and was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ. She had been a resident of Columbus since 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison "Rooster" Williams in 1992. Also preceded by a son James David Williams in 2014, one sister, Nancy Bradley, one brother, Frank Davis, three infant brothers, Leon, Glen and Cecil Davis and a step-daughter, Jean Williams.

Survivors include one son, Jay Williams and wife Jada of Richmond, KY; two daughters, Janet Duffy and Randy Dunlap of Columbus, OH and Drema Smith of Hinton; two brothers, Harry Davis of Asbury, WV and Bernard Davis of Fayetteville, WV; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 16, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Minister Walter Dekle officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
