Douglas Eugene Bryant, 79, of Meadow Bridge, died at Harper Mills, Beckley, on March 18, 2018.

Born in Christiansburg, VA, on February 17, 1939, he was the son of the late Roy Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ella Mae Wirt Bryant, a son Ray Bryant, and two brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Alice Morris (Charles) of Meadow Bridge, Doris Dove of Chestertown, MD, and Corina Guy of Blacksburg, VA. A brother, Dennis Bryant of Blacksburg, VA, and a special granddaughter and caregiver, Tina Bryant, of  Meadow Bridge, and grandchildren, Shawn Williams and Christopher Dover of Maryland, Ray Bryant, Jr., of North Carolina, Bobby Joe Guy, of Virginia, and Jessica Guy of Morgantown, WV, and four great-grandchildren also survive.

The family would like to thank the entire staff of Harper Mills Nursing Home in Beckley for the care given to Mr. Bryant during his illness.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday March 24, 2018 at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton. Cremation will follow the visitation.
