Douglas Linville (Bo Jack) Jackson, 65, of Hinton, went to be with the Lord, June 22, 2019.

Born, February 22, 1954, in Hinton, he was the son of the late Henry G. and Mary Williams Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Verda K. Jackson, Donna A. Meadows, Paula Jackson, Cathy M. Jackson, and Tamara L. Jackson.

He attended Lincoln High School, and Hinton High School, and then joined the US Army in 1976.  Doug traveled the world and married in 1982.  He lived in Ft. Hood, Texas, Okinawa, Japan, Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and Ft. Sheridan, Illinois.  After serving his country, he returned home to Hinton.

Doug loved basketball, music, fishing, free style rapping, and family and friends.  He was of the Baptist faith and believed in God, and His will, and never complained.  Doug never met a stranger, and was always in good spirits, and could put a smile on anyone's face.  He was always giving, and would "give you the shirt off of his back".  He was very forgiving and his family meant everything to him.  Doug will be missed by all.  BOOM SHOCKA!!  PEACE, That's It, and That's ALL!!

Those left to mourn his memory are his daughter Sheenaline O. Jackson and grandson Jayceon D. Jackson of Chicago, Illinois. Also surviving is one brother, Henry G. Jackson, Jr. of Hinton, a sister Debra Jackson Craigen (Louis) of Pikesville, Maryland, brother-in-law, David Meadows of Hinton, and a host of nieces and nephews, especially Shon & Brad, with whom he spent most of his time. Many other friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Pivont Funeral Chapel, in Hinton, with Reverend Matthews Saunders officiating.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday, at the funeral home.  Following the service, his body will be cremated.
