Douglas Carl Jones, 76 of Forest Hill, died Wednesday November 3, 2021 at his home following a brief illness.

Born April 10, 1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he was the son of the late Clarence C. and Marjorie Slayton Jones.

Doug was a graduate of the University of Michigan and was a retired laboratory technician and phlebotomist. He loved gardening and cutting wood and was a proud West Virginian. He loved his dog Belle dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include three sons, Matt Jones of Calhoun, GA, Jesse Jones of Sacramento, CA and Sean Jones of Pennsylvania; one sister,  Judy Jones of Florida; special cousins, Mary Ellen Honaker, Regina Costa and Jim Costa also survive.

Graveside services and committal will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday November 8, 2021 at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton with Pastor Don Hannah officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
