Elizabeth Lucille "Sissy" Lambert, 83 of Hinton passed away Saturday January 14, 2017 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital in Hinton following a long illness.

Born March 12, 1933 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Lou Verna Adkins Steers.

Ms. Lambert was a graduate of Hinton High School and was a retired clerk for G.C. Murphy Company in Hinton. She was a member of Upland Baptist Church at Upland and enjoyed cross-word puzzles, crocheting, reading and playing bingo. She was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Lambert; two brothers, Fredrick and Clinton Steers and two sisters, Martha Virginia Ward and Mary Ann Taylor.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include a brother-in-law, Jay Taylor; sister-in-law, Carolyn Phillips; nieces, Louverna Brown, Beverly Hickman and Jo Ann Cales; nephews, Anthony Taylor, Tommy Ward and Clyde Steers; great nieces, Shelly Barnes, Autumn Ward, Heidi Richmond, Rae Lynn Hickman, Seanna Cales and Pam and Santana Steers; great nephews, Todd Brown, Clinton Taylor, Scott Ward and Shawn Cales; great, great nieces, Emily and Rebecca Barnes, Khloeigh Brown and Mallory Ward; great, great nephews, Jacob Woodrum and Landon and Tyler Richmond; great, great, great niece, Julianna Woodrum.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Eddie Wills officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery in Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Nephews and great nephews will serve as pallbearers.
