Ernest Arthur Rogers, 87 of True, WV passed away Monday July 22, 2024 at Princeton Community Hospital following a short illness.

Born February 8, 1937 at Jumping Branch, WV he was the son of the late Horace and Pearl Parker Rogers.

Ernest was a retired service technician for Sears Corporation with 30 years of service and was a US Army veteran. He loved playing golf as long as his health permitted and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clay, Neal and Buck Rogers along with three sisters, Pat Anderson, Ellen Iddings and Grace Blair.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy Jones Rogers; two sons, Keith Rogers of True, WV and Kenneth Rogers of King George, VA; one granddaughter, Emily Rogers and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday July 25, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor C.T. Lilly, III officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
