Farrell Lee Adkins, age 72, of McLeansville, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior November 27, 2024 at the home of his son in Roanoke, VA after a sudden illness.

Born in February 1952 in Brooks, WV, he was the son of the late Forrest and Madeline Meadows Adkins.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Vernon, Warren, Charles, and Gary and one half sibling, Acie.

Farrell was married to Susie "Fox" Adkins for 49 years and shared together two sons, Dr. Farrell C. Adkins and wife Dr. Stacie L. Adkins of Roanoke, VA and Nicholas E. Adkins and wife, Dr. Jennifer Adkins of North Carolina and Alaska. He also had three grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Aiden Christopher, Adeline Brooke and Tyler Bennett.

Farrell was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, and brother.  He was full of joy and loved his family and friends to the fullest.  He loved playing golf and playing with his grandchildren.  Farrell was retired from Lowe's Home Improvement where he was an exterior project specialist in Greensboro and High Point, NC.  He had also been a sales manager in the automobile business in Beckley, WV and a sales manager for Oakwood Homes managing sales center in Idaho, Virginia and Utah.  He was a jack of all trades.

Surviving family members are two sisters, Carol Thompson of Burlington, NC and Wanda Ball of Talcott, WV; two brothers, Robert Adkins and wife Roberta of Thurman, Ohio, and Steve Adkins and wife Denise of Burlington, NC.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating.  Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton, WV.
