Floyd Anthony Smith, 60 of 213 ½ Temple St. died Thursday May 3, 2018 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born November 21, 1957 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Lewis Sr. and Geneva Thompson Smith.

Floyd was a former member of the United States Marine Corps and was a laborer. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Lee Smith and three sisters, Verna Mae, Doris and Doretha  Smith.

Survivors include a son, Floyd A. Smith, Jr. of Hinton, two daughters, Lavoria (Teri) Connor and Veronica C.J. Smith, both of Hinton. Four brothers, Lewis Smith, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Billy Ray Smith of Hinton, Herbie Smith of GA and Tracey Smith of PA. Three sisters, Phyllis Smith, Rebecca Smith and Linda Smith Carter. Eighteen grandchildren and 1 great grandson also survive.

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and there will be no public service at this time.
