George Galen Reliford, 78 of True, passed away Thursday March 19, 2020 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital following a long illness.

Born February 23, 1942 in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Frank M. and Cindy R. Holbert Reliford.

George was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and loved NASCAR racing and football. He also loved mowing grass.

He was preceded in death by three sons, Mike, Galen and John Reliford and one daughter, Carolee Rose Reliford.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Rose Marie Hamm Reliford. Two grandchildren, Jamie and Travis Reliford; three great grandchildren, Jadia Meadows, Travis "Bubba" Reliford and Macil Rose Reliford; one brother, Richard Reliford of Virginia and two sisters, Norma Jean Simmons of Autraville, NC and Mary Stacy of Rainelle.

Per George's request, cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and there will be no public service. Private interment will be held at a later date.
