Geri Hawley Haga, 91 of Roanoke, Virginia formerly of Hinton died Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

Born May 19, 1925 at Stotesbury, WV she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lottie Hellems Hawley.

Ms. Haga was retired from the National Bank of Summers in Hinton. She was an avid quilter and  excellent seamstress. She was a member of the Hinton Senior Citizens and Miller Memorial Methodist Church while living in Hinton. She had lived with her daughter Linda in Annandale, Virginia and Roanoke, Virginia for the past 10 years. They both delivered meals on wheels in Roanoke as long as her health permitted. She was a member of Northview United Methodist Church in Roanoke while living there.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Haga, an infant daughter, Dorothy Haga and also by a sister, Betty Shumate.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Ferrell and husband Pat of Roanoke, VA. One aunt, Ruth Hawley of Pineville, WV and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday April 14, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be; Mike Mourning, Bill Pennington, Curtis Wilcox, Bill Haga, Lee Roy Farley and Tom Farrell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miller Memorial Methodist Church in Hinton or Northview United Methodist Church in Roanoke, VA.
