Gladys Imogene Ratliff, 80 of Hinton died Friday October 23, 2015 at Summers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale following a long illness. Born May 1, 1935 at Beelick Knob, she was the daughter of the late Waymon A. and Lena Frances Hizer Adkins. Mrs. Ratliff was a homemaker and was a member of the New Hope Church of the Nazarene in Hinton. She had lived most of her life in Chicago and her retirement years in Hinton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don Glen Ratliff, Sr. and by a brother, Marvin "Sonny" Adkins. Left to cherish her memory include four sons, Roger Rae Ratliff & wife Haley of Hinton, Don Glen Ratliff, Jr. & wife Rebecca of Beckley, Brian Keith Ratliff & wife Susan of Charleston, SC Bobbie "Buzz" Ratliff of Hinton. Four daughters, Kathy Sue "Kippie"Ratliff, Sharon "Kay" Ratliff, Cindy Carol McInnis and Raven Shanee' "Razz" Ratliff, all of Hinton. One brother, Dr. Lloyd Adkins of Richwood and one sister, France Carol Patilla of Beckley. Thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday October 26, 2015 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Eddie Crews officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
