Granville Lee Martin, 54 of 506 2 ^nd Ave. Hinton, died Thursday November 17, 2016 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital following a long illness.

Born November 30, 1961 in Hinton, he was the son of Mildred Agnes Adkins Martin of Hinton and the late Granville Kelly Martin.

Granville Lee was a lifelong resident of Hinton and was an avid musician. He especially loved playing the guitar and the autoharp. He attended the Little Country Church in Hinton as long as his health permitted. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Willie Roy Martin, also preceded by a half-brother, Kelly Lee Martin and a half-sister, Helen Lilly.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Adkins Martin of Hinton; one brother, Billy Ray "Billy The Kid" Martin of Hinton; two half-sisters, Glenna Anderson and husband Edward P. of Christiansburg, VA and Anna Lou Adkins of Princeton; one half-brother, Keith Adkins and wife Betty of Hinton. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 22, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
