Gregory Allen Richmond, 60 of Hix, passed away Friday October 15, 2021 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea following a long illness.

Born September 18, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Russell and Ruth Reed Richmond.

Greg was a graduate of Hinton High School and attended Ohio Institute of Technology. He was employed in the pipeline industry for many years and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at Hix. Greg loved music and enjoyed playing guitar and will be missed by his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Richmond and a sister, Karen Wenger and also a sister-in-law, Connie Richmond.

Survivors include a son, Geoffrey Richmond of Morgantown, WV; three daughters, Samantha Lilly & husband Josh of Forest Hill, WV, Jean Mills of Princeton, WV and Lori Norris of Hix; three brothers, Mark Richmond and wife Sandy and Randall Richmond, both of Hix and Kenneth Richmond of Cap Cod, MA; two grandchildren, Teegan Lilly and Thomas Chapman also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday October 19, 2021 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the O'Bryan Cemetery at Hix. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
