Harless Herman Hosey, 83 of Ramp, died at 12:43 p.m. Monday April 3, 2017 at his home following a long illness.

Born November 5, 1933 at Ramp, he was the son of the late Porter Hosey and Maycle Clay Dick.

Mr. Hosey was a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his beloved family. He was a Christian and attended various churches in the area.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Barnett Hosey, one daughter, Jo-Rena Johnson, granddaughter, Morgan Northern and step-father, Estil Dick.

Survivors include three daughters, Gayle Meadows and husband Chuck of Winston-Salem, NC, Trista Northern and husband Joe of Ramp and Jolanda Butler and husband Corey of Fayetteville, NC. Two brothers, Emmett Hosey of Virginia and Toby Dick of Ohio along with seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 8, 2017 at Ramp Holiness Church, Ramp with Pastor Felix Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay Cemetery at Ramp. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
