Hattie Mae Allen, 87 of Lindside, died at 5:05 a.m. Sunday June 3, 2018 at Springfield Care Center at Lindside following a long illness.

Born September 9, 1930 in Wayne County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ada Ellis Redick.

Ms. Allen was a former x-ray technician for the U.S. Government, having worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Redick and by one sister, Dorothy Redick.

Survivors include her caregiver, Janice Shrader of Hinton.

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and there will be no public service.
