Hildred I. Richmond, 92, of Sandstone, went home to be with the Lord, on April 22, 2025, at Beckley ARH Hospital, after a short illness.

She was born August 21, 1932, in Hinton, and was the daughter of the late Berman and Mosella F. Buckland Sears.  She was of the Baptist faith loved going to church as long as her health permitted.  She also enjoyed cooking and cleaning her house.

She was preceded in death, by her husband Ernest C. Richmond, as well as two sons, Kermit Richmond, and Malcolm Richmond, and a daughter, Debbie Duncan, and great grandchild Nikki Hartwell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary Richmond, of Morgantown, West Virginia, Claude Richmond of Sevierville, Tennessee, Bernie Richmond and Larry Richmond both of Hinton, and Robert Richmond of Beckley, three daughters, Hildred Ann Morrison of Richmond, Virginia and Clara Faye Dick and Mary Richmond, both of Hinton.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, Mozella "Butter" Franco, Stephaney Ratliff, Kevin Richmond, Robert Williams, Shawna Gill, Lynn Franco, Jeremiah Owen, Kerry Richmond, Ann Marie Sebring, G. W. Richmond, Michelle Richmond, Jamie Richmond, Josh Richmond, J. R. Richmond, Natalie Robinson, Chelsea Brinkley, Lauren Carrico, Jordan Richmond, William Dick, Renea Foster, several great grandchildren. and great-great grandchildren, and Special great grandchildren Khalil and Xavier Honaker.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Upland Cemetery, at Upland.  Friends may call from 2:00 pm until time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
