Ivyanna LaShay Wright, 13, of Siloam, NC, became an angel of God on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Born December 13, 2000, Stokes County, NC, she was the adopted daughter of her grandmother Marsha Lynn Wright, of Siloam, NC and the granddaughter of Jerry Conner, of Hinton, WV. Besides her grandmother and grandfather, she is survived by her biological mother Crystal Lynn Wheeler and Husband Brandon, two sisters Shianne Renee McHone, Eden Raine Conner, and one step-brother Aiden Scott Wheeler all of Siloam, NC. Other's left to cherish her memory are three uncles, Ronnie Wright and companion Francis of Madams Creek, Billy Ray Wright of Charleston, Randy Wright and companion Faith, of Pineville. Four Aunts, Carolyn Foster and Husband Danny of Jumping Branch, Debra Woods and Husband Darrell of Sarasota, Florida, Sharon Ward and husband Oliver of Hix, Christy Wright and companion Tommy, of Jumping Branch, and two special uncles Harry Bennett of Hinton, and Buddy Dawson Sr. of Siloam, NC. She is also survived by a host of loving great aunts, great uncles, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her great maternalgrandparents Billy Keith Wright, and Glenna Ruth Wright. Her uncle Roy Kevin Wright, and her namesake cousin Ivan Wayne Gill. Although, Miss Ivy, as she was fondly referred to, had cerebral palsy, she always spread an abundance of love and joy to all of whom she met. Ivy was a participant in the Special Olympics, and won several trophies and ribbons for her softball participation, wheel chair races, and other events. During the Surry County North Carolina Agriculture Fair, her beautiful paintings brought two first place winnings, and four second place winnings. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday December 27, 2013 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton. Burial will follow in Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers please bring a doll or teddy bear to be donated to the Special Olympics honor of Miss Ivy. All of her family feels today she walks in the presence of the lord, and if she could speak to us now, she would remind us all, no matter individual's adversities, we should follow his word and love all the children of the world, as we so loved her.
