Jack E. Lilly, 82, of 920 Terrace St., Hinton, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Summers County ARH Hospital, after a short illness.

Born July 8, 1934, in Hinton, he was the son of the late James W.,  and Leona Ellison Lilly.

Jack was a graduate of Hinton High School and was a retired brakeman/conductor for CSX Transportation Corp. in Hinton.   He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hinton, serving on the Deacon Board and was a former teacher of the Men's Bible Class. Jack lived all of his life in Hinton.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Bob, Vivian, Bill and John Lilly, and two sisters, Imogene Grimmett, and Mary Carol Humphries.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Janice Meador Lilly, two sons, Richard K. Lilly, and Ron K. Lilly and significant other Patricia Harvey both of Hinton, a sister, Judy McCoy and husband, John, of Grottoes, Virginia. Two grandchildren, Craig L. Lilly, and Crista L. Willey, and three great grandchildren Vaughn C. Willy, Tyson C. Willey, and Emma Fayth Willey also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Central Baptist Church, in Hinton, with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.  Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 12:00 until time of service at the church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
