James Gilbert Dillon, 71, found peace on May 10, 2017 following an extended illness.
Jim was born on August 10, 1945 to the late J.C. Dillon, Jr. and Margaret Gilbert Dillon. He was a graduate of the Hinton High School class of 1963.
Jim was owner of the former Don Array Shop in Hinton, employed by the West Virginia State Department of Highways, and a member of the West Virginia Unemployment Board of Review. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hinton.
Surviving family members include his wife Donna McDaniel Dillon, daughter Margaret Bonenberger and husband Brad, brother-in-law, Chuck McDaniel, , and granddaughter Donna Katherine; aunt and uncle Vivian and Melvin Plumley; cousins Rhonda Gilbert and John Adam Gilbert; aunt Martha Gilbert; cousins Tim Gilbert, David Gilbert, Vince Gilbert and their families.
Jim enjoyed golfing and hunting, and was a supportive member of his community. He was always a gentleman, and he enjoyed his friends and family. He will be missed. The family wishes to extend gratitude to all who cared and prayed for Jim during his illness.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 14, 2017 at Hinton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Melissa White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
