James Lee Lemon, 65 of Hinton, died Sunday November 7, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke following a long illness.

Born August 7, 1956 in Hinton, he was the son of the late James and Gladys Phillips Lemon.

James was a former employee of Silo Ice Company in Hinton and was a lifelong resident of Summers County. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Donald and Gary Lemon; two sisters, Lisa Bragg and Jane Ella Vandall; a grandson, Brayden Lee Lemon and his father-in-law, Kenneth Wills, Sr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Sandra Wills Lemon; two sons, Brian and Jeremy Lemon and wife Kasie of Jumping Branch; one daughter, Jennifer Richmond and husband Noah, III of Jumping Branch; a precious granddaughter, Madisyn Grace Richmond; two sisters, Susie Lemon of Princeton, WV and Tammy Bragg and husband Calvin of Hinton; one brother, Roger Lemon of Mullens, WV; mother-in-law, Juanita Carol Wills of Hinton; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Wills, Jr. of Hinton and Dennis Wills and wife Lisa of Nimitz.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 10, 2021 at the Upland Cemetery at Upland with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
