James Allen Warf, 88, of Hinton, passed away on June 14, 2023, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born July 4, 1934, he was the son of the late Oscar Henderson and Sally Ruth Burns Warf.

He was self employed and was involved in the construction business. James was a veteran of the United States Army.

Those left to cherish his memory are:  Special Friend, Joy Lambert, a step-daughter Cindy Merritt, two brothers, Wendal Warf and Billy Warf, two sisters, Betty Jean Phipps, and Cora Epps.  A step-grandson Devin Merritt also survives.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at ll:00 a.m., with Adam McKeown officiating at the Warf Cemetery, on Chestnut Mountain, Hinton, WV.  There will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
