James Keith Wynes II, age 36, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

James was born on December 23, 1986, in Huntington, WV to James K. Wynes and Cynthia Lynn Greenlief.

James was an avid reader of history and enjoyed cooking; thus, working as a chef in various restaurants in the Charlotte area.  He was a big sport's fan and always rooted for his beloved Carolina Panthers and UNC Tar Heels.  James coached soccer in his community and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, James K. Wynes of Winston-Salem, NC; mother, Cynthia Lynn Greenlief of Hinton, WV; longtime companion, Nicole Roberge of Charlotte, NC; two sons, James K Wynes III and Jalen J. Wynes, both of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Lindsey Wynes of Shady Spring, WV, Mindy Wynes of Charlotte, NC, and Mackenzie Wynes of Beckley, WV; maternal grandmother, Vera Epling of Hinton, WV; paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Wynes of Talcott, WV; one niece, Lianna Smith; four nephews, Leontrae Smith, Kingston Clark, Javontae Wynes, and Montana McBride; many beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles also survive.

Funeral services for James will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Bishop Fred Sims officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Church Cemetery at Forest Hill.  Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
