Janice Sue Bennett, 79 of Hinton, went home to be with the Lord Thursday January 24, 2019 at Summers Nursing & Rehab Center at Hilldale following a long illness.

Born October 13, 1939 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Ruby Spade Biars.

Ms. Bennett was a homemaker and was a member of the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle.  She was a lifelong resident of Hinton and enjoyed being with her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bennett in 2001. Also preceded by a brother, James Edward Biars.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby James Bennett and wife Michelle of Alderson, and Roy Dean and Bobby Joe Bennett, both of Hinton. Two daughters, Carolyn Sue Boone and Amy Louise Patrick, both of Hinton. One sister, Mary Carol Elmore and husband Richard of Lewisburg. Fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday January 28, 2019 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery near Hinton. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
