Janis Rae Holland, 69 of Sandstone, passed away Wednesday July 6, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a long illness.

Born July 10, 1952 at Gauley Bridge, WV she was the daughter of the late William and Betty Ashley Bulmer.

Jan was a 1970 graduate of Hinton High School and attended Marshall University. She was a former employee at Pipestem State Park and was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital. Jan was a jokester, loved her dog, Shoe and adored flowers. She was a member of Crow Baptist Church at Crow, WV. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Terry Bulmer.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Holland; one son, Matthew Rice and wife Leanna of Hinton; one daughter, Teresa Bauer and husband Jeff of Anderson, SC; one sister, Robin Burkhart of Riverside, CA; two step-daughters, Jennifer Lynn Pack and husband Dale of Beckley and Kristen Poling and husband Bobby of Sandstone, WV; twelve grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday July 10, 2022 at Crow Baptist Church in Crow, WV with Pastor Rod Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Holiday Cemetery at Sandstone. The family will receive friends form 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
