Jerry Wayne Underwood, 75, of Beaver, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Summers County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

Born September 3, 1941, in Crow, WV, he was the son of the late Waymond C. and Olive Mae Harrah Underwood.

Jerry was a retired construction worker, who worked as a metal framer and sheet rock installer.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Thresa Thompson.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Adkins Underwood, of Beaver, and two sons, Michael, and Jerry, Jr. both of St. Augustine, Florida.  An Aunt, Louise Epperly and brother Roger C. Underwood, Sr., both of Beaver, also survive.

At his request, his body was cremated, and there will be no services at this time.
