Jo Ann Baber, 84 of 1102 Greenbrier Drive, Hinton died at 8:30 p.m. Monday November 7, 2016 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born April 4, 1932 at Jumping Branch, she was the daughter of the late Dorse and Ella Crook Ballard.

Mrs. Baber attended Hinton High School and was a former employee of the Hinton Dairy Queen. She was a member of the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle and enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Ballard and also by one sister, Virginia Gill.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Baber. One daughter, Sandra Holliday of Beckley. One brother, Doug Ballard of Beckley and one sister, Norma Beckner of Culloden, WV. Two grandchildren, Kimberly Wayne and husband Robert of Daniels and Kristen Clay and husband Gary of Cool Ridge. Two great grandchildren, Zackery Wayne, of Daniels and Khloe Clay of Cool Ridge.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday November 11, 2016 at the Jumping Branch Gospel Tabernacle at Jumping Branch with Pastor Tom Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Crook Cemetery at Jumping Branch. Friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday evening at Pivont Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.

Pallbearers are: David Moten, Jeff Chambers, Rick Bowling, Craig Okes, and Franklin Bowles. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dick Meador, Albert Lowe, James Bragg, Ray Alderman and Jim Bragg.
