Joan G. Miller, 82 of Marie, WV died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Summers Nursing & Rehabilitation Center at Hilldale following a long illness.

Born July 12, 1935 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John H. and Elsie Herbst Gainey.

She was a homemaker and attended New Hope Methodist Church at Marie as long as health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Miller on July 8, 2009.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and interment will be held at a later date in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Akron, NY.
