John Glen Donelan, 81 of Little Wolf Creek, died Monday July 17, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a long illness.

Born January 30, 1936 in Tacoma Park, Washington, he was the son of the late Frank Andrew and Melba Baker Donelan.

Mr. Donelan was retired from the U.S. Department of Defense, having worked in research and development. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved nature.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, one infant and Robert Donelan and one sister, Hazel Lewe.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Donelan of Forest Hill. One sister, Doris Hackley of Leesville, SC. Two grandsons, Zachary Nuss and Joseph Branham also survive.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday July 25, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home in Hinton. Cremation will follow the visitation and interment will be in Maryland at a later date.
