Joshua Patrick Dawson, 27 of Hinton died Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital.

Born March 2, 1990 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Donald Dawson of Beckley and Kimberly Dawson of Hinton.

Josh was a 2008 graduate of Summers County High School. He was an employee of the City of Hinton Fire Department as an engineer. Josh was also a member of Summers County and Sandstone Volunteer Fire Departments. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother, Kimberly Dawson of Hinton, father, Donald Dawson of Beckley, brother, Justin Dawson of Hinton, step-mother, Sandi Daniel of Beckley, maternal grandparents, Harry and Glenna Ballew of New Stanton, PA, paternal grandparents, Al and Marie Dawson of Mt. Pleasant, PA and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday November 11, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Roy Carter, Chaplain of Hinton Fire Department officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Members of the City of Hinton Fire Department will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Sandstone and Summers County Fire Departments and Summers County E.M.S.
