Julia Edna Ayers, 88 of Burton, Michigan formerly of Sandstone, died Thursday Feb. 4, 2021 at home following a long illness.
Born June 4, 1932 at Sandstone, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Russell, Sr. and Nannie Gunter Vandall.
Ms. Ayers was a homemaker. She loved landscaping and gardening, garage sales, craft shows, birds, especially cardinals, going out for an A&W hotdog or eating at Bob Evans. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Ayers; four brothers, Harvey Jr., Charles, Thomas and Delbert Vandall.
Survivors include four daughters, Margie Grondin & husband Paul, Sharon Kirt & husband Ken, Libby Trovillion & husband Don and Regina Ayers; four sisters, JoAnn Burdette, Mary Vandall, Linda Carol Ward and Judy Hartwell; grandchildren, Julie Mize, Shawn Grondin, Aaron Grondin, Carrie Snell, Christopher Snell, Heather Brewer, Jacob Trovillion, Jason Trovillion, Jeremy Trovillion, Alexander Havermale, Mikayla Havermale, Jennifer Beck, Isaiah Ayers, Quentin Ayers, Johnathan Ayers, Michael Ayers and Matthew Ayers; 30 great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday Feb. 11, 2021 at the Fink Cemetery at Sandstone with Pastor Benny Allen officiating. There will be no public visitation
