Justin Allen Purdy, 24 of Nimitz, passed away Thursday March 28, 2019 at his home following a short illness.

Born June 2, 1994 in Princeton, WV, he was the son of Jennifer Cooper of Jumping Branch and Marvin Purdy of Pipestem.

Justin was a graduate of Summers County High School. He was attending Concord University. He was also an employee of West Virginia Paving. He loved anything pretaining to computers.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Eddie M. Purdy and Marcella Vickers.

Besides his parents additional survivors include his brother Josh Purdy of Pipestem, his maternal grandparents Jerry and Janie Cooper of Nimitz, special uncle Lt. Jeff L. Cooper of Nimitz,  aunt Linda Bentley of Conrath, WI, and long time girlfriend Shelby Chapman of Shady Spring.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday April 1, 2019 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Butch Honaker officiating. Burial will be at Farley Cemetery at Pipestem. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM until service time on Monday April 1, 2019 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will include Benny Dickenson, David Moten, Kent Bartgis, Steve Pack, John Harvey, Zina Angell, and Gene Davis
