It is with heavy hearts the family of Karen Sue Lilly, age 56, announces her passing on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at CAMC following a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Born in Beckley, WV on August 3, 1968, she was the daughter of Carlos Wayne and Retha Wills Bolen.

Karen graduated from Hinton High School in 1986 and was a former employee for Chase Banking. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Her courage and strength will never be forgotten, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Carlos Wayne and Retha Wills Bolen of Nimitz, WV; her husband of 40 years, Leslie Lilly; son, Brandon Lilly and wife Maddy of Highland Park, NJ; brother, Michael Bolen and wife Paulalynn K. of Beckley, WV; grandson, Kaito Yamazaki-Lilly.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Mountain Creek Baptist Church in Dunns, WV with Pastor Wayne Bolen, Brother Eddie Wills and Brother David Griffith officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Friday at the Church.
