Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Martin, Jr., 49 of Talcott, passed away suddenly Monday June 1, 2020 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital in Hinton.

Born November 26, 1970 in Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Kenneth Wayne, Sr. and Diana Lynn Kincaid Martin.

Wayne was a graduate of Hinton High School and was formerly employed by the Summers County E.M.S. was a former deputy Sheriff for Summers County and a former Chief of Police for the City of Hinton. Wayne was also a self-employed contractor and was of the Baptist faith. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Zane Adkins.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Rider Martin; three sons, Kaleb Spencer, Kaden Gage and Evan Wayne Martin; one daughter, Raegan Mackinzie Martin; two sisters, Sheila Lynn Adkins of Hinton and Prinzie Renae Nicholl of Hanover, PA; father and mother –in law, David Michael and Linda Carol Rider of Talcott; two step-daughters, Katherine Billups Hartwell and husband Austin and Megan Billups Clark and husband Jamie; four step grandchildren, Avery, Amelia and Wyatt Hartwell and Hadley Bennett; Aunts, Jeanie Eyler of Scottsboro, AL, Fay Turner and Wayside, WV, Dottie Herndon of Ballard, WV and Betty Kincaid Whitten of Talcott.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday June 5, 2020 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
