KumCha "Kim" Mathewson, 55 of Green Sulphur Springs, formerly of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away Tuesday December 15, 2015 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg following a long illness.

She was born March 19, 1960 in Masan, South Korea.

Kim was a homemaker and spent the early years of her children's lives actively involved in school functions. She had a love of gardening, spending time outdoors, and playing with her grandchildren. She met and married her husband of 25 years in South Korea.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and son, Michael Mathewson.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Mathewson, III. Two sons, Charlie & wife Katie Mathewson of Valparaiso, IN and Benjamin Mathewson of Portage, IN. One daughter, Sarah Mathewson of Green Sulphur Springs. Three grandchildren, Aulani Mathewson, Aiden Maher and Malina Mathewson. Father and mother in law, Tom and Judy Mathewson of Plymouth, IN.

Kim was loved by many and will be remembered for her strive to always help others in need.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday December 18, 2015 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be held at a later date.
