Obituary

Lake Lewis Lyons, 66, of Hinton, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at CAMC in Charleston, after a short illness.

He was born March 2, 1956, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  He was a son of the late Clarence E. "Red", and Lora Jarrell Lyons.

Lake was a well-known taxidermist in southern West Virginia.  He was an avid outdoorsman, and love hunting and fishing, but most of all loved being with his family and grandchildren.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton. He was also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Laura Lyons.

Those to cherish his memory are his wife Pamela Kesler Lyons, one son Andrew Lyons, and wife Lori, of Caldwell, two daughters Casey Lyons and Lorrie Gusler and husband Charlie all of Lindside.  Two brothers, Olaus Lyons, and wife Kae of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Clare Lyons of Hinton, six grandchildren, Laney and Allie Baker of Florida, Jase and Reese Lyons of Caldwell, Lake and Jake Gusler both of Lindside, three nephews, Willie and Sidney Lyons, and Matt Kesler, and one great nephew, Solomon Lyons and a great niece Willa Lyons and several also survive.

Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Pivont Funeral Chapel, with Pastors Gary Trout, Chris Campbell, and Robbie Merritt. Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.  A private burial will be held on Monday, November 14, at the Sheppard Cemetery at Ramp.
