Larry Edward Turner, age 69 of Beaver, West Virginia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

He was born on April 26,1955 in Hinton, West Virginia to the late Walter Preston (Junior) and Frances Marie Turner.

Larry's family meant the world to him.  His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He loved the Lord.  He was faithful through the years as a lay Pastor for many different local churches and as a Sunday School teacher.  Larry retired from J.T. Davenport after 30 years.  Since retiring, Larry enjoyed spending time with family, camping, gardening, woodworking and hunting.  He especially loved studying God's word and sharing with his loved ones.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd Turner and Richard Turner.

Larry is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 50 years, Barbara Carole Turner.  He is also survived by his daughter, Tiffany Turner of Beaver, WV; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Angel Turner of Beaver, WV; his precious grandchildren, Rachel Breeden (Josh), Jacob Breeden, Trenton Turner and Chloe Turner (Preston); his brother, Darrell Turner (Mary) of Hinton, WV; sister, Kathy Hambrick (Carson) of Troutville, VA; many nieces, nephews and friends.  He is also survived by his furry faithful companions, Milo (Larry's shadow) and Baylo.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church 120 Clifftop Drive in Beaver, WV with Pastor Jack Barber and Pastor David Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 12:30 pm until the time of service on Sunday at the church.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
