Obituary

Lee A. "Jim" Plumley, 87 of Fayetteville, formerly of Summers County, died Monday April 8, 2019 at Fayette Nursing & Rehab. Center following a long illness.

Born December 12, 1931 at Abraham, he was the son of the late Jasper and Goldie Martin Plumley.

Jim was a former employee of the C&O Railway Company and was a 60 year member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Helmick Plumley; two brothers Elmer and Clarence Plumley; four sisters, Erdene Avis, Kathleen Plumley, Lorene Basham and Lucille Stover.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Paula Mae McGraw of Fayetteville. Two sisters, Imogene Underwood of Oak Hill and Cleo Raeon of Charleston. One grandson, Dennis McGraw, III and wife Tara and three great grandchildren, Sidney, Gavin and Nicholas McGraw.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday 11, 2019 at the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone with Ministers John and Bryan Scott officiating. There will be no visitation. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
