Leon Scott Bennett, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his mother's home in Wayside, WV following a short illness.

Born on March 13, 1969, he was the son of Dalana Boone Grimmett and the late Ashley Bennett.

Leon lived most of his life in Summers County and was of the Christian faith.   He operated a dairy farm which required long hard hours, but he was someone not afraid of hard work.  Leon was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.  He will be sadly missed, especially by his family.

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Ashley Bennett.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Dalana Grimmett of Wayside, WV; two sons, Austin Bennett of Forest Hill, WV and Ashton Bennett of Talcott, WV; one daughter, Abby Bennett of Hinton, WV; two brothers, Lindon Bennett of Kodak, TN and Kurt Bennett of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Bonnie Bennett of Pence Springs, WV and Rita Leslie of Talcott, WV; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Derrick Leslie officiating.  Burial will follow in Tempa Church Cemetery at Pence Springs, WV.  Friends may call from 12: 00 pm until 2:00 pm on January 21, 2023 at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
