Lester Leo Holland, 65 of Sandstone, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday March 14, 2016 at his home following a long illness.

Born December 29, 1950 at Sandstone, he was the son of the late Charles Lester and Emma Irene Eskins Holland.

Mr. Holland was a heavy equipment operator and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Sandstone Baptist Church at Sandstone and lived most of his life at Sandstone.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Joe Holland and his former wife, Clara Richmond.

Survivors include a son, Keith Holland & wife Stephanie of Sandstone. One brother, Robert "Red" Eskins & husband Mary Alice of Belleview, OH and a sister, Mary "Peggy" Tabor & husband David of Meadow Bridge. Two grandchildren, Austin and Alayna Holland.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 17, 2016 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Jackie Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery at Sandstone. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be; Darrell Cooper, Adam Bragg, Gary Bragg, Eugene Holland, Adam Bragg and J.D. Cales.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern WV nurses, Kathy, Staci and Connie as well as the nurses at Raleigh General Hospital.
