Levohn Mason Biggers entered into eternal rest Friday, October 16, 2015 following a long illness. He was born in Talcott, West Virginia, to the late Howard M. and Anita Luster Biggers on February 1, 1932. Levohn was preceded in death by loving brothers Edward M. Biggers, Sr. and Donald L. Biggers. After graduating from Lincoln High School, Hinton, West Virginia, Levohn went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army for 27 years, including the Korean Conflict, Germany, and 2 tours in Vietnam. Between overseas assignments, Levohn was stationed at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, where he made his residence. After his retirement in 1972, he returned to the Radcliff, KY area, where he worked as a plumber/pipefitter in that region. While there he was appointed as an honorary "Kentucky Colonel" by the governor of Kentucky. Around 1983, he moved back to West Virginia and earnestly entered into an active retirement. Ever the humanitarian, Levohn was active in many local civic organizations. Levohn was a Free Mason and held membership in the Elks, Hilldale-Talcott Ruritan Club, and served on the John Henry Park committee. Levohn had a great passion for golf, hunting, and fishing that he shared with family and friends alike. We all remember, with great fondness, his smile and laughter at catching the big one or below-par' round of golf. Left to cherish his memory are one brother, James Luster, Sr. of Talcott, WV; nephews, James A. Luster, Jr. (Evelyn) of Inwood, WV, Edward M. Biggers Jr. (Robin) of Fredericksburg, VA., Kevin V. Biggers (Sharon) of Lovettsville, VA; nieces Shelia Hosey of NC, Deborah Wright (R. C. "Chris") of Nashville, Tenn., Janya Luster-Lee (Tim) of Martinsburg, WV, Lisa Newman (Anthony) of Fredrick, MD, Audrey Biggers of Burke, Va.; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews, and many, many great friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Pivont Funeral Home, 100 Park Avenue in Hinton, WV, with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Talcott Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday. Pallbearers will be; Robert Smith, Chester Rudisill, Michael Mann, Bill Dillon, Ronald Gore and James Standard. Honorary pallbearers will be; Lorenzo Crockett, Jr. and Dave Friley.
