Linda Jeanette Vest, 68 of Hinton passed away Saturday June 10, 2023 at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness.

Born June 6, 1955 in Hinton she was the daughter of the late Paul and Daisy Martin Tate.

Linda was a home health aide for the Summers County Council on Aging. She was a member of Lifeline Church in Hinton and loved attending services there. She also loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dale Vest; also by 3 brothers, Hobert, James and Jack Martin and 4 sisters, Margaret, Louella and Sharon Tate and Connie Bynog.

Survivors include a son, Harold Vest and wife Wendy of Marshville, NC; two daughters, Kimberly Vest of Hinton and Meredith Vest of Hinton; companion of 37 years,  Clifford Baber of Hinton; two brothers, Paul Tate, Jr. of Beckley and Woodrow Meeks and wife Karleana of Hinton; four sisters, Anna Lisa Carr of Hinton, Alice Fleshman and husband Dick of Lewisburg, Evelyn Young and husband Rick of Hinton and Becky Romanello of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Brad and Sara Vest also survive.

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and a memorial service will be announced in the near future.
