Lois Carol Ward, 75 of Talcott, West Virginia passed away  Saturday June 11, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a short illness.

Born April 8, 1947, in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Wanda Mae Plumley Grimmett.

Lois was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, animals, music, and being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides her father and mother, she was preceded in death by husband, George Calvin Ward; one son, Kreggory Don Ward; two brothers, Hershel Hayward and Larry P. Grimmett.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Kimberly K. Ward and husband Hobert "Dino" of Hix; one son, Randall Ray Ward and wife Ginger of Princeton, KS; one sister, Linda Burdette of Hilldale; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Michelle Dressler & husband Cory of Blue Springs, MO, Randall Lewis Ward of Beckley, Elisabeth Patton & husband Rick of Teays Valley, WV, Joseph Ward & wife Pam of Gordonville, PA, Kelly Ward of Hix, Shelly Ward and companion Rick of Beckley and Jacob Isaiah Ward of Beckley; one great grandson, Gabriel Blake Harvey of Beckley and a great granddaughter,  Patricia Ellen McBride also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday June 13, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Harry Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will be provided following the funeral service with interment in the Cecil Ward Cemetery at Hix at a later date.
