Lola Mae Cox, 51 of 109 Herman St. Hinton died at 11:40 p.m. Friday August 12, 2017 following a long illness.

Born August 3, 1966 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Howard Roscoe and Pansy Hammonds Cox.

Ms. Cox was a former employee of Pipestem State Park and was of the  Baptist faith. She was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, Gary and Roger Cox, Sr. and also by a nephew, Roger "Punkin" Cox, Jr.

Survivors include two brothers, James Cox of Hinton and Kenneth Cox of Cool Ridge; two sisters, Patricia Meador and husband Donald and Alice Adkins both of Hinton; a sister-in-law, Delores Cox of Hinton and a special niece, Vicky Lynn along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday August 15, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at Pipestem. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
