Malissia M. Smith Turner, 57 of Hinton passed away Tuesday June 6, 2023 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital in Hinton.

Born November 24, 1965 in Hinton, she was the daughter of Ramona Gwinn Meadows of Hinton and the late Bobby Meadows, Sr.

Malissia attended Hinton High School, played sports while in high school and was outspoken and free-hearted. She was a homemaker and loved being with her grandchildren.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dedra Steers and Judy Willey and also by a brother, Bobby Meadows, Jr.

Survivors include her mother, Ramona Meadows of Hinton; two sons, Daniel Grimmett and wife Allison of Princeton, WV and Richard Grimmett of Hilldale; one daughter, Crystal Gill of Hinton; boyfriend, David "Scrappy" Weikle of Hinton; one brother, Rusty Meadows of Hilldale; grandchildren, Caleb Grimmett of Princeton, WV, Aydon and Canyon Gwinn of Alderson, WV and  Carson Radford of Flat Top, WV and step-granddaughter, Emily Worley of Princeton, WV

Cremation services have been provided by Pivont Funeral Home and there are no public services scheduled at this time.
