Margie Elizabeth Bragg, 74 of Tug Creek, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday February 13, 2017 at her home following a long illness.

Born September 2, 1942 in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Effie Ellen Gill.

Ms. Bragg was a former cook at Pipestem State Park and was retired from the Hinton Senior Citizens. She was also a homemaker and a member of the Hinton Gospel Tabernacle. She loved the outdoors, especially, camping, fishing and gardening and attending yard sales. She had lived most of her life in Summers County.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Ward; one daughter, Mary Mitchem and a great grandson, Casey Ward. Also by three sisters, Gladys O'Dell, Martha Bragg and Dorothy Teasley.

Survivors include a son, Robbie Mitchem of Hinton. One daughter, Jessica Donitzen and husband John of Tug Creek. Three brothers, Ray Gill and wife Vada and Garland Gill, all of Chesapeake, OH and Billy Gill and wife Donna of Hinton. Three sisters, Ruby Mann and husband Glenn of Franktown, CO, Vera Adkins and husband Garland of Talcott and Debbie Gill of Hinton. Three grandchildren, Regina Teabo, Beverly Ward and Ronnie Ward. Several great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Southern West Virginia and nurses Kathy McHenry and Stacey Issacs along with Margie's niece, Connie Smith for the special care given to Margie during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 16, 2017 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Terry Weatherly officiating. Burial will follow in Upland Cemetery near Hinton. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
