Marva Ruth Johnson, 81 of Talcott, WV died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a short illness.

Born December 10, 1935 at Talcott, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena Brooks Johnson.

Marva was special person who enjoyed church activities and singing. She also loved her pet dogs so much and was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be missed.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jo Ann and Ella Pearl Johnson and also by a brother, Charles Johnson.

Survivors include a brother, Russell Lee Johnson and wife Dreama of White Sulphur Springs, caregiver, Mary Ann Wynes and family of Talcott and a host of nieces, nephews and friends also survive.

A celebration of Life service will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday November 11, 2017 at the Hinton Senior Citizens Center in Hinton.
