Marvin Lee "Tom" Yancey, 92 of Elk Knob, died Tuesday February 23, 2021 at Summers County A.R.H. Hospital following a short illness.

Born May 30, 1928 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Everette and Anna Hogan Yancey.

Mr. Yancey was retired after 30 years from US Steel Corporation in Lorain, Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish and garden. Tom was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Violet Harvey, Dorothy Lilly, Edna Partida and Ethel Painter; six brothers, Jack, Joe, Charles, Ronnie, Donald and Nick Yancey.

Survivors include his wife, Donnia Martin Yancey; two daughters, Janet "Penny" Yancey (Kenneth Wills, Jr.) and Lisa Meadows (Kennith), both of Hinton; two half-sisters, Flora Mae Richmond (Danny) and Wanda Sears, both of Hinton.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday February 26, 2021 at Upland Cemetery near Hinton. There will no visitation. Those wishing to attend the services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
